For our 2014 tour, we have simplified our alignment principles and organized the postural method so that now Bowspring becomes a practice of self-care and health for the masses, not just for practitioners of yoga, dance, or fitness. Hence in our 2014 world tour, we will emphasize the idea of becoming accountable for our myofascial shape throughout our whole body, particularly our torso when sitting, standing, walking and lying down. By learning how to approximate a universal optimal template in daily posture, Bowspring students gain self-empowerment for greater body-mind health.
Students will learn how to remold and recalibrate their body’s curvature into an optimal myofascial template for vibrant health and positive mindset. The transformative process starts with becoming more conscious of our long-term body-mind patterns molded into our myofascia.
In our weekend Bowspring trainings, students will be empowered to shape their torso toward an optimal posture to unlock habituated patterns in 4 key areas of the body-mind, which hold strong psycho-emotional energies. By taking accountability for the shape and posture of these 4 key body-mind areas: our pelvic floor, solar plexus, epicenter of our ribcage, and our throat, we are self-empowered to embody a new, overall healthier body-mind pattern in our daily posture.
In our introductory weekends to Bowspring, we will by focusing on creating the bow-spring shape repeatedly in a variety of simple poses and exercises. At the same time, we will show how the practice of creating the optimal bow-spring alignment can be advanced to high skill levels of yoga or athletics. Therefore, Bowspring can be practiced by everyone – from those who sit at work to top-level athletes including advanced yoga students. Weekend student trainings will be progressive and build on base postures. Intermediate level poses will be introduced in most classes, so that all levels of student will be certainly challenged.
