Level 1 Bowspring Poses
The Level 1 syllabus of poses include all the Elemental Forms organized into the following 6 postural categories: All-Fours, Standing, Seated, Arm-balances, Prone, and Supine poses. The Level 1 syllabus is composed of over 50 basic postural forms, which are easiest and most effective to learn the Bowspring. The Level 1 syllabus includes the simplest and most basic form of each pose. Yoga flexibility is not a requirement for any of the Level 1 poses. The Level 1 syllabus does not include any posture which rounds the lower back, straightens the legs, takes the elbows into the back plane, or straightens the neck. The Bowspring algorithm is applied in every pose. Therefore, only the postural instructions for each pose’s general form are described below. Each pose is outlined from its foundation first presuming Horizon Eyes and the chin in line with the sternum.
