Bowspring weekend workshop in Golden, CO – April 4-6, 2025 with John Friend & Desi Springer

The venue is on the corner of 10th and Washington above Rewind, the Consignment Store. There is parking directly across the street in the Visitors Center. They offer 2 hours free parking. Although they apparently don’t monitor the parking, we will have some parking passes for extended parking if requested. There is also free parking across Washington at the Mountaineer Center. The stairs up to the venue are directly across from the Visitor Center parking lot.

The Venetian Art of the Bowspring 

This is an all-levels 10-hour Bowspring workshop which will teach how to practice Bowspring as a flowing artistic expression of harmonic dynamic alignment in your daily life.

The basic postural sequences of the Bowspring method may appear as a slow form of Tai Chi or the precise Katas of a martial art like Karate, but Bowspring is about beauty and peace, not the ugliness of war.
The art of Bowspring reflects Truth, Goodness, and Beauty — universal principles of a nondual Spirit within the sacred geometry of the human body.

Practicing Bowspring cultivates the mindset of an honest, courageous, disciplined person like a martial artist. Yet, the ultimate expression of the dynamic poses and postural exercises is to cultivate wisdom and integrity in life, bringing greater harmony and vibrant health to our body-mind-soul. As a venetian art, the Bowspring practice reflects the highest core values and universal principles of life, divine beauty.

Friday night class is great to first time students. The weekend will be progressive so there will be no drop-ins permitted for Sunday classes.
