Certified Teachers
Bowspring teachers, both dedicated and certified, are committed to offering high-quality service to their students by sharing the Bowspring method with professional integrity and excellence.
Certified Teachers have demonstrated a high level of studentship, proficiency in the method, and an understanding of the global community and ethos. They are licensed by Global Bowspring to lead advanced Bowspring classes, workshops, retreats, and level one Immersions. They are endorsed by Global Bowspring to teach at international conferences and workshops and are ideal representatives of the Bowspring method. These teachers have regular communication with the founders of the method and have access to advanced study materials, inclusive of videos, newsletter updates, and other documents. Each Certified Teacher has a webpage dedicated to them on the Global Bowspring website, along with Global Bowspring’s endorsement for their offered trainings and workshops.
*** John Friend and Desi Springer are the only teachers authorized to offer teacher training programs in the Bowspring® method.
Requirements to Become a Certified Teacher
• Minimum of 2 years of consistent practice.
• Minimum of 60 hours of documented studying with John Friend and/or Desi Springer over the last two years.
• Completion of the Video Review Process which includes a demonstration of the Seed Kata at a proficient level, a thorough explanation of Radiant Heart, and a showcasing of teaching skills and abilities.
• Demonstration of a commitment to the global community and its ethos within your daily life and interactions with others, noting a healthy and green lifestyle.
• A willingness to collaborate and work harmoniously within our global community.
How to Become a Global Bowspring Certified Teacher
If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying to become a Certified Teacher, please download the application form by right-clicking (here) and select “save link as”. You may then save the application form to your personal device to enter your answers in the fillable fields. Please rename the file when you save to your device as “YourNameCertApp” and submit your application to certification@globalbowspring.com.
Within 24 hours you will receive an email reply from a member of our Global Bowspring Certification Committee notifying you the application has been received and providing you with information pertaining to the remaining steps and actions required of you during the Certification Application Process.
